There is a pattern with Mr Naga. Someone buys a single jar, treats it carefully for a week, then discovers it in fried rice, then in mayo, then on a cheese toastie at 11pm, and it is gone.

This pack is for the second stage. Two 190g jars of Mr Naga Original: the classic smoky, tangy ghost pepper chilli pickle made to the same Sylheti recipe since 1996. Keep one in the pantry and one in the fridge, or keep one and give one to the friend who keeps asking what you put in that curry.

How to use it

• In curries: stir through in the last few minutes, ¼ tsp at a time
• As naga mayo: 1 part Mr Naga to 6 parts mayo
• On the grill: rub through chicken or lamb an hour before cooking
• In fried rice, noodles, ramen: one spoon at the end
• Two jars, two places: one in the pantry sealed, one in the fridge open. Each jar is around 60 serves at half a teaspoon
