Mr Naga Original is balanced and smoky: the everyday jar, the one that goes in curries, sandwiches and anything that needs waking up. Mr Naga Gold is 95% naga chilli: hotter, deeper, more chilli-forward, built for marinades and finishing.

Two jars, 380g total, and about four months of dinners that are not boring. It also makes a genuinely good gift for the person in your life who claims nothing is too hot for them.

How to use it

  • Start with Original: it is the more forgiving of the two. Quarter teaspoon stirred through a curry, or a scrape in a sandwich
  • Move to Gold when you want the pepper forward: marinades, finishing sauces, compound butter
  • Taste them side by side: half a teaspoon of each on plain rice. The difference is obvious and it settles the question in one sitting
  • Keep one open, one sealed: refrigerate after opening. A 190g jar is around 60 serves at half a teaspoon

This is a super-hot product. Contains naga ghost pepper (Bhut Jolokia), 855,000–1,041,427 SHU. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes. Not recommended for anyone with a sensitive stomach or a heart condition. Start with a small amount.
